What is MAV?

MAV is the native utility token of the Maverick Protocol, a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on the Ethereum blockchain. The protocol introduces an innovative Automated Market Maker (AMM) model designed to enhance capital efficiency and flexibility for liquidity providers. Unlike traditional AMMs where liquidity is distributed evenly across a price range, Maverick's "programmable liquidity" allows LPs to concentrate their assets within specific price bands. This enables more precise price execution and reduced impermanent loss. The consensus mechanism employed by Maverick Protocol is Proof-of-Stake (PoS), leveraging Ethereum's underlying security. The MAV token plays a crucial role in the ecosystem by facilitating governance, allowing holders to vote on protocol upgrades and parameter changes. It also serves as a reward for liquidity provision and incentivizes participation.
